How to Keep Your Goods in the Furniture Store?

For various reasons - work or for a move abroad for example - storage in the furniture repository is a good solution.


The duration of storage may vary but whether for a short or long stay, carefully prepare the deposit of your property to keep them in the best conditions.
And even if the furniture storage companies offer a calculated temperature to ensure the optimum preservation of your belongings, some small tips ensure you to find your property in their original state.

Good Gestures for Appliances

If your appliances are part of the goods to be stored it will be necessary to pay attention to certain points:
  • Leave the doors ajar to avoid odours
  • Sprinkle talc on the joints to prevent them from drying out and becoming porous
  • Be sure to drain the water from the pipes before storage.
  • Put a cardboard or a cloth between the devices if you superimpose them. It is not recommended to stack heavy appliances.
  • For the washing machine, and if you have kept it, replace the blocking stone which will prevent the drum from moving during the transport.
